This article regards Jeffrey Katzenberg's talk at CES recently in Las Vegas. The former Disney and DreamWorks SKG exec launches his new venture, Quibi, in April. Quibi will produce and distribute only short-form content --10 minutes or less -- because he believes that the future of TV is in mobile devices. "The Deep State" was created as a web series because of Katzenberg's new venture announced a few years ago. Enjoy!
I want to invite all of our new stareable.com visitors who may not be familiar with "The Deep State" web series to watch the sizzle reel or episodes. It's an original thriller with stellar acting. You can watch it here on stareable. If you like it, please rate it and share it with your friends and family. It would be greatly appreciated.
"The Deep State" web series has been named an "Official Selection" of the WRPN.TV Global Webisode Competition, a Delaware-based, online festival exclusively for webisodes and TV series. The festival is held in December and the winners are broadcast over the WRPN-TV network. This is the third festival for which "The Deep State" has been selected since we launched the series in August.
Here's an odd coincidence for "The Deep State" fans: On Oct. 30 I posted a vlog titled "World on Fire" in which I discussed the chaotic state of the world, from California wildfires to violent protests overseas. Yesterday, Republican pundit Patrick J Buchanan posted an article online titled "What's behind the world on fire?" in which he, too, covers the CA fires and overseas protests. Good indication that our web series is right on the mark. Here's the link to his article.
Had a great time as a guest on "Inside Hollywood on the Hudson", a TV talk show hosted by Michelle Sorvino, where we discussed "The Deep State" web series. I was joined by Executive Producer and lead actor, Bill Sorvino, and Producer and supporting actor, John Austin Wiggins. The 30-minute show will air in the tri-state area (NY, NJ and Connecticut USA) on the Comcast cable network (Channel 51) next Tuesday, November 19, and Wednesday, November 20, at 7 pm. It will also air on the Optimum cable network (Channels 19 and 180) next Thursday, at 3:30 pm. I will post a link to the full broadcast once it becomes available.
The phrase "Big Brother" always seems to conjure a negative aspect of our society -- that of constant surveillance. But now that we are being watched and tracked wherever we go, it seems that the masses have embraced it. And, yes, it can certainly be driven by "The Deep State". Watch the vlog here.

Many individuals have asked "What is the Deep State?" So today's vlog provides an answer for anyone who has not heard of this organization that, until just a few years ago, was nothing more than a conspiracy theory and serves as the basis of "The Deep State" web series. Watch the vlog here.
